Bitchin' Kitchen Mediterranean Stew

Country of origin - Somewhere in the med

Time - 1 hour

Cost - £5

Wow what a recipe! Not only is this meal super cheap, so that's the budget sorted, it's seriously healthy to with all the vegetables. It's also really easy to make you basically chop everything up and stick it in a pot.

Here is my attempt

Here is the recipe http://www.foodnetwork.ca/recipes/recipe.html?dishid=10941
I will be making some more Bitchin' Kitchen recipes soon. So watch this space.

Spanish Omelette

Country of origin - Spain

Time - 40 minutes (mostly for the potatoes!)

Cost - £5

The ultimately budget/student recipe. Not only are Spanish Omelettes a very cheap recipe they are also packed with protein. Plus if you use cooked potatoes then you only need 10 minutes cooking time.

Here is the recipe http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2738/real-spanish-omelette. Provecho!

High Tea - Scones 2

Country of origin - England

Time - 25 minutes

Cost - under £5

I know I've already posted about scones, but I've been attempting to perfect them, and I'm proud of my latest batch! I made a slight change to the recipe and along with the butter milk I added a dash of regular milk which made the dough easier to mix and seems to have made the scones a little fluffier on the inside to. I also bought a cookie cutter so they look a bit prettier to. Enjoy.

Pancakes

Country of origin - Global

Time - 25 minutes

Cost - under £5

As it's pancake day, this wouldn't be a very good blog if we didn't cover pancakes. They taste great even if they aren't the healthiest food, but as some of you will be giving something up for lent then I think you can justify having them. Here is a link to a pancake recipe, remember you can top your pancakes with whatever you want!

High Tea - Scones

Country of origin - England

Time - 25 minutes

Cost - under £5

With plenty of inspiration from Nigela Lawson and some patriotism from the England Rugby team, here is my second attempt at making scones. It's a very simple recipe, only takes 25 minutes(ish). Not very healthy I know, but it's proof that men can bake! Please click on the link below for the recipe.
